Solar holders
The energy production from sunlight becomes more and more important

Whether for ecofriendly energy or warm water production. For mounting solar and collector plants on metal roofs we have developed special brackets. Above all with standing seam roofs, the roofing will not be damaged when the clamping system known from the snow retention system is utilized.
Please follow also our mounting information for solar holders and the comments to the holding load.

Comments to the holding load and static thinking
- The determination of the number of solar holder is dependent on construction, weight and size of the modules. As distance between the brackets, a standard value of 0,60 m across the seam direction is given.
- Our solar holder are built in accordance with the principle of our snow retention system, i.e. the roofing is not damaged the fastening, the clamp holder is clamped to the double standing seam.
- With a torque of 35 Nm, a holding force of the individual holder of 0,8 kN (80 kg) can be achieved.
- Load transfer from the solar holder to the sub-construction. Here, it has to be determined individually which wind suction and snow load ist to be expected. According to these findings it has to be determined whether the tightening by means of clamping luds is sufficient or whether the installations have to be secured additionally. For nails which serve the purpose of tightening the clips on metal roofs, an initial value of approx. 0,4 kN (40 kg) has to be set. This results in the fact that - even before the clamp holder comes off the standing seam - the clips have come off the wooden sub-construction.
- In case of doubt it is indispensable to get information from local engineers engaged in statical calculations. We are pleased to give you further information.
